Centre Market , from its name you know it’s a sort
of a market place. Yes, It was a wet
market founded in 1888 and was rebuilt in the 1930s, and to-date it has been
classified as a heritage site.Centre Market is now a famous landmark for Malaysia culture and heritage.

Market is located at the intersection of Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock ( Foch Avenue
) and Jalan Hang Kusturi ( Rodger Street, this
section of the street has turn into a pedestrian walk ) and only take a few minutes walk
from Petaling Street.

Immediately when you step into Central Market,
you will notice that the stall arrangement is representing the various ethnic
groups of Malaysian being together living harmoniously. You can find a Malay
Street, Chinese Street, Little India and also Colonial Street.

clothes, handbags, shoes, colourful T shirt with creative design, lots of
souvenirs.
Behind this main building, there is an art gallery where you can find
artists in real live working on their art pieces. You can get them to
sketch your picture for a small fees.

Central
Market is easily accessible through Kelana Jaya LRT , exit at Pasar Seni
station and just walk across Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock.
